“I’m sure it’s already made plain that if you’re listening to this,” a voice already long gone by now begins, “Two things have happened. Either I’ve given up and fled or I’m dead. At his hands. Either way, you’ll need to know at least something. I won’t say everything, I… I still owe him that much. Hell, I don’t even have much to say in the first place.”
“I still remember the day I met the Colonel. He had a different face at the time. We agreed our only chance of survival was to stick together. It worked and we beat off the Executors that came after us. And after the decades… we became close. I can’t recall which one of us proposed first,” a small little chuckle amongst the dark, reflecting on events now long gone, “but it happened. I can’t think of a period where I was happier. I’d never seen him smile and laugh so much. I can’t believe I thought it would last forever. Then the forest came…”
“The Church found us again. We were cornered down, he begged for them to spare me and kill him instead. No matter how much I pleaded,” there was pain on the voice of the recorded, “He kept insisting upon it.”
“But those sadistic bastards… something not even the Curse of Restoration could save me from. Then she appeared. And as I understand made a deal with him that if she accept his gift, then she would use her medical expertise to save him. He was desperate as he clutched me and with no other option took it…”
“When I woke up alive it wasn’t to the man I thought I’d spend my life with. Roy had changed because of her serum. His darkest desires for power in other to protect those he cared about amplified to the point it wasn’t about those he cared about. And to gather that power, he turned to the Forest and Her. And it was at that moment I knew he was no longer Roy and would stop at nothing for more power.”
“That Witch. That Serum she gave him and the blood accelerated his growth through the stages to the point he’s a Successor in anything but name. I’ve never seen him so terrifying with his Mystic Codes and magecraft. And that’s not the worst thing. He has an entire private army of Nightmare Knights under his thrall, gifted by a benefactor from Central France I couldn’t find out. And he’ll use any methods it takes to become an ancestor. He intends to exploit the current stalemate between the Forest, the Church, and the Clock Tower. This war has distracted all three of them from his plans and has allowed him to move unaware to even Rome itself with his disguise.”
“Then I learned of his plans in Genoa. She had a massive batch of serum that had long gone rancid. Useless at creating anything of high level, but against normal humans… I shudder to think how much he could feed off the chaos. And in the meantime,
“When I learned of this I knew I had to stop him no matter how much I had loved him. I can’t let this atrocity happen. He’s no longer Roy. Just a creature that took his face.”
“Colonel, or Roy if you’re somehow still in there, there’s a chance you’re listening to his. I don’t have really anything more to say. What we’ve had to say to each other has been said… but I just want you to know, I remember that autumn
Miyu decided to investigate the Blue message that was sent to Chaldea. This brought her deep into where the civilians are. Luckily enough, she met with the Ryougi family, whom Chaldea was in friendly terms with, helping her inside. Soon enough, the address of the Blue message brought her into a lack luster shop with only a bit of people.
As soon as Miyu looked into the shop, there was a female shopkeeper. The shop seemed to be an antique shop.
"You there."
The woman then called out to Miyu.
"Come closer.
She'd then hand Miyu a compass.
"2nd Floor to the left, inside yourself and where the hands of time meet within the house. You can find them there. This compass will lead you to them. Do it all subtly."
She speaks.
"Not there. Follow the compass first."
The woman sighed.
"Be careful not to trip."
The woman would wave with a sigh.
After walking for awhile, Miyu finds herself to a house to the east side of Calais, in a more quiet and suburban area. The compass was pointing inside.
It seemed to be an abanonded house, with white paint, stained all over the place. Inside the house though, it was quite clean, compared to the sight outside. There was a standing clock, a mirror in the living room though. And in the middle was a white board that says:
Take all the others, and form them together, what does it say?
Find my name, which has the first as the second, and the last as the first.
They are two different sentences
As Miyu investigates the second floor, she found herself looking at a magically inscribed riddle on the floor. It says:
"What is the beginning of lies that also ends those full of beauty?"
She'd look at the mirror. Soon enough, a message slowly formed on it. It asked:
"Look into the mirror, who do you see inside?"
It soon disappeared
The clock was broken. It seemed both hands met.
Upon writing it on the whiteboard, Miyu sees another message forming beneath it. It says:
Add where the hands of time met.
The message changes: "Now what does it say? Speak it."
(edited)Upon uttering those words, she'd see the items all around her began to fix themselves. The words she had written began to erase themselves. The clock she took apart began to fix itself... And soon enough, below her, the ground fell, and her along with it. Bringing her down below... the basement. Upon reaching it... the hole above her became a ceiling without a hint of mercy...
Upon looking around, a sudden pop was heard!
***pop***
Like a soda cap being forcibly released. But then she'd realize there were confetti's falling down on her head, and the dark basements light were opened. There stood an 'unusually' fancy group, with one or two odd individuals. Particularly the one who held the confetti launcher, who had blonde hair and a dashing teen smile.
"Yahoo! They solved it!"
He spoke. As he did, a young lady, a bit older than Miyu but definitely younger than the boy, exceeding much authority and elegance spoke.
"You made that thing too easy...."
Miyu then felt the presence of the two individuals disappear. But her eyes were stil closed.
She was now outside of the house, exactly outside. Whatever the means, it was truly a magicians secret. She was now free to go.
